Effective at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on March 31, 2025, all interstate telehealth registrations will expire unless successfully renewed during the Board’s renewal period.
A practitioner is eligible to apply for renewal if he/she holds a valid, active license issued by another state licensing authority or board, is in good standing in all states in which he/she is licensed, is not the subject of an administrative complaint which is currently pending and is not under investigation by another state licensing authority or board.
Practitioners who will not be providing telehealth services to patients located in West Virginia after March 31, 2025 do not need to take any action and his/her registration will simply expire.
Please remember that in addition to an interstate telehealth registration, physician assistants must also have an activated practice notification on file with the Board to practice as a physician assistant to West Virginia patients. Additional information concerning practice notifications is available on the Board's website.
