However, please note that any search result indicating that education is "reported by licensee" is not primary source verified in conjunction with the license issued by the WVBOM.  All such licenses were issued pursuant to the Universal Professional and Occupational Licensing Act of 2025 W. Va. Code § 30-1-27.This information is also provided as a resource for members of the public seeking information about the license status, education, training and professional backgrounds of physicians, podiatrists and physician assistants licensed by this Board. Data is updated directly from the WVBOM database on a daily basis, and is the most current information available. The following WVBOM data fields are protected from alteration by unauthorized individuals: practitioner's name, license number, year of birth, license status, date license issued, license expiration, educational history, current supervision, and board actions. Certain information obtained directly from practitioners (such as primary work location, other states of licensure and self-designated area of specialty) has not been independently verified by the WVBOM.
